Burke & Wills Tour
Retrace the steps of the famous Australian explorers, Burke and Wills. Starting in Adelaide on Friday morning, the tour will pick up guests at the O'Connell Inn in North Adelaide and set out for a day to Broken Hill to visit art galleries, sculptures and movie sets. After a town tour of Broken Hill on the Saturday morning, the tour will then continue north onto Pincally Station in New South Wales, for wonderful outback hospitality from the owners Matt and Zana Gale. Enjoy a hearty outback breakfast on Sunday morning before setting out on the road again to the outback town of Tibooburra. After lunch, the tour will stop at Sturt National Park and onto Cameron Corner, the junction of three states. Continuing the expedition, the next morning, the tour will head to the famous Burke and Wills Dig Tree, on the Cooper Creek. After reflection of this iconic spot, the tour will head along the Cooper Creek, into Innamincka for the night. Explore the Strzelecki Track before a well-earned break at the famous outback pub, the Prairie Hotel, in the Flinders Ranges, South Australia. After a fabulous breakfast at the Prairie, the last day will be spent exploring the majestic Flinders Ranges, visiting towns such as Hawker. Continuing south, the tour will pass through the Clare Valley wine region for some wine tasting, before heading back to The O'Connell Inn in North Adelaide for the 'last supper'.
